Our Optimist racer Patryk Stachowicz braved the 14°F weather (feels like 5°F) to get in some early season practice today on Calhoun. That is what we call dedication.

With the record setting early ice-out on Calhoun this year, this is officially the earliest a sailboat has sailed the open waters on Calhoun!

Decked out in his warmest sailing gear, he was able to get a brief practice in including some roll tacks and launching a sailboat without ever touching the water.
