MSC Welcomes Collin Mueller to the Team

The Minneapolis Sailing Center is excited to announce the addition of our new Program Director, Collin Mueller! Collin will work with Executive Director Ted Salzman to continue expanding the reach of community sailing in Minneapolis.

Collin has been a sailor as long as he can remember. Ever since stepping onto a Sunfish Sailboat in Northern Minnesota at YMCA Camp Du Nord at five years old, he has been hooked on the sport. Spending summers on the coast of Maine during his high school years, Collin developed a passion for racing C420s and island hopping aboard a 36-foot Catalina.

After taking a break from sailing during his time at McNally Smith College of Music, Collin found his way back to the sport in 2014 with the opportunity to lead the Saint Croix Sailing School. Growing up in Hudson Wisconsin, there were very few opportunities for youth to participate in the sport of sailing. Collin saw a chance to give back to his community and provide the type of sailing programs he had longed for to the next generation of St. Croix Valley youth.

Collin’s work over the past five years has seen the Saint Croix Sailing School become a permanent staple on the Hudson waterfront. From finding a new location to increasing community involvement, Collin has created a program that ensures youth in the St. Croix Valley area have the sailing opportunities for years to come!

Now living in Minneapolis, Collin is looking forward to continuing the mission of providing sailing opportunities to all in the Minneapolis community.

Welcome aboard Collin!
